You can claim the prize. I have all I need for a sim racing rig and the only thing I'd do with that GT rig is sell it.

For obvious reasons I'm partial to my layout, but unless someone makes it look decent with contours etc. I don't think it'll stand out properly.

I may take a stab at it come lunch time. I can take the layout and translate it into 3d to include elevation changes and on/off camber turns.

Awesome. Feel free to smooth out my unsteady MS Paint mishaps. I think the foundation for a genuinely nice track is there.

Tat part will pretty much have to happen, I'll basically just be redrawing the layout with a spline in max, editing to include elevation changes, and then lofting a rectangle along the path to create a road. Who knows, I might even get crazy and throw in some curbing and pretty textures while I'm at it.

You used a lot of words that I don't recognize. *smile* *nod* (should help you understand why I did it in MS Paint in the first place)

Lol, sorry about that. I'm working on it right now and should have a rough draft here in a few min.

Ok, here's a quick and dirty version. Just 2 views, a top down shot and a perspective shot so that the cambered section and the elevation change can be seen. current scale has the front straight a .7mi long give or take, and the track at about 35' wide.

The wider some of the sharp corners turn out to be the more racy they get. .7 miles for a straight is a solid length. Track is looking very nice. Thanks! Feel free to throw it in the thread and I'll promote it and recruit people to promote it.

Will do, I'll probably go back and tweak it a bit more so that it isn't all the same width and such, but it's a decent start for a quick 15 min job on my lunch break.

LOVE the elongated paper clip series in the top right corner, especially with that elevation change going up and then immediately coming back down.

Start finish would be on that main straight and the track goes anti-clockwise. To be honest it would probably race reasonably well in either direction.

They really need to build this track somewhere.
